Our Story

Dhotel Patisserie is based in Leiston, and run by Jean-Baptiste Dhotel, an award-winning pastry chef with over 20 years experience.

Looking back…

Jean-Baptiste trained in Burgundy, France and has worked with some of the top chefs and in a two Michelin star restaurant.

His achievements to date include being awarded third place in the French Cup Patissier in Paris in 1999. Outside of France, Jean-Baptiste has worked in some of the finest hotels in England and for an American cruise line.

Born out of a passion for patisserie, Dhotel began their journey in Friston, near Aldeburgh, with an aim to provide delicious, high quality desserts to businesses in the food service sector. Since those early days, Dhotel Patisserie has focused first and foremost on quality and service, building a well regarded reputation between caterers, restaurants and individual customers alike .

Doing what he loves most and does best, Jean-Baptiste has built a loyal base of customers. Supplying commercial venues across East Anglia and beyond, the approach to quality and service remains at the heart of Dhotel, no matter the size or regularity of an order.

With a highly skilled team and dedicated kitchen, Dhotel Patisserie has the expertise and capacity to reliably deliver, whatever the scale or timeframe. All products are made from scratch using high quality ingredients, and all chocolate and sugar decorations are carefully handcrafted for that extra special touch.
